Pregnancy and Birth
The mystery and awe of pregnancy and childbirth is lost on no one. We come into this world, moment after moment, day after day and it is still a miracle every time. The more we learn about women, pregnancy and the developing baby, the more we are amazed at both their strength and their vulnerability.
Specifically, more and more is being discovered about pre-natal psychology every day. Rite Path Home works with mothers in connecting with and understanding their developing baby, as well as addressing feelings about being pregnant and what this means for the mother and the family on all levels.
Rite Path Home offers a supportive environment in which to acknowledge and address any areas of vulnerability involving mother and child including minimizing stress, improving support structures and addressing any past or current issues that may trouble, cloud or confuse this sacred time. You can consider it a gift to your child to move through your pregnancy from this present moment with as much intention, awareness and healing as possible.
Rite Path Home also supports women and partners in learning to honor, cultivate, and invoke the inherent strength and wisdom in women's bodies and spirits as they provide safe passage to these precious ones from one realm to another.
Giving birth is a physical, spiritual, emotional, psychological and deeply personal experience. Rite Path Home offers support in all these areas in preparation for childbirth as birthing will require all that you have, and more. And you do have it!
Rite Path Home above all hopes to inspire multi-layered confidence in women in their ability to give birth.
Excerpts from Becoming Oshun
- Hips shaking
- that’s how you move,
- laughter spraying the canyon walls.
- Men say you “flow”
- but that hides
- the smile,
- the dance, the prance
- as you samba, shimmy, side-to-side.
- A parade princess pulsing
- through nature’s
- carnival,
- appraising your sparkling
- sun-lit jewels,
- unaware of
- endless admirers.
- Joyous, you wash over yourself.
- Waterfall,
- moving mirror
- through rocks, plants, branches
- your fixed gaze cannot be broken.
- A pleasure to see you, a treasure to be you.
- A sudden commotion interrupts your rhythm; destiny desires to meet you.
- Your fluid edge tumbles unknowingly to fulfillment.
- Shock dissolves into awakening, swirling within,
- transforming girl to Goddess
- with a kiss of salt.
