Parent Coaching
Parent Coaching — Ages 0-18
When using a coaching approach to parenting, Rite Path Home begins from the stance that people currently possess both the desire and ability to modify and strengthen their parenting practices so that they better match one’s personal vision and goals for their parenting and family life.
Coaching starts by understanding at a deep level the most closely held values and hopes of the parent/s. Once this foundation is established, coaching is a process of sharing information and knowledge, uncovering and identifying strengths and obstacles, and ultimately building the parents sense of competence through developing the tools, techniques and self-reflection necessary to execute their vision of their own parenting.
Through the coaching relationship, Rite Path Home works with parents in ways that support and solidify learning and application so that when coaching comes to an end, parents will have a well-integrated, self-directed model of parenting that will serve their family for years to come.
Parent Coaching is something that can take place at the Rite Path Home office, over the phone, and at times, in your home. It can also happen with a parent or primary caregiver, or, with two parents or multiple caregivers who are trying to get on the same page with the parenting of a child. It could also be a combination of both. Coaching is both flexible and committed as a process and is aimed at working with parents where they are at on a number of levels.
